Eliminating pesticides. Pests become imune to the widespread use of pesticides, beneficial predatory insects are killed.

Lucilia cuprina Green Blowfly is the main instigator of breach fly strike in sheep.
Local air and ground temperature has an important influence whether these flies are active. Monitoring of the fly traps associated with the Chook Wagon alerts one to the possibility of fly strike occurring. By deploying additional traps at these critical periods many Lucilia cuprina can be eliminated before they have developed egg laying capability.
The time and costs can be largely covered by income arising from eggs or meat.
